This article is an interesting report on the use of "green concepts" in a Scarsdale, NY High School. They took the ideals of "Going Green" and applied them to a money saving, and economically savvy system. The began growing fruits and vegetables at the school, for use in the cafeteria. The use of geothermal energy will also begin to help cut costs in other areas of traditional burden. Heating and cooling costs are brought down by the use of this ambitious new technology.
The article also expands on the fact that many other schools are finding financial ease in the application of Eco-Friendly programs and processes. The author explains that states like Conecticut and New Jersey are among ten states that require the use of renewable energy sources when renovating, and constructing.
